Memorandum Capital successfully held second meetup session of its Asian road show on March 7, 2018, in Seoul, where 7 startups were presented to over 50 investors, business and IT analysts, and crypto enthusiasts. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session that allowed startups to demonstrate their business models, products and plans to potential investors.
Sergey Vostrikov, managing partner of Memorandum Capital explains the benefits of a format: “Unlike major conferences we are doing a preliminary work with the startups, selecting the best, helping them with presentations and even providing public speaking training for them. It is very important that the messages of the startup teams: competitive advantages of the projects, growth potential, unique technical features reach the investor audience.”

The presentation of Mr Andrey Tuchkov, CEO of Sofin was especially interesting for the representatives of Korean financial market.
Vuulr blockchain startup is aimed to transform multibillion market of content development. The project has an ambitious role to become a major player in this field. The presentation of Mr. Mckee, CEO of Vuulr Enterprises raised a lot of questions, as this project seemed to be interesting to everyone.
One more representative of the financial market – project Bonum offers contemporary business to use cryptoassets as a collateral for microfinancing credits. The company has already implemented their idea in the Russian market and now aiming for the global outreach. Company’s CMO Roman Saydulin was very convincing and promptly found several potential partners among Korean financists.
It would be hard to imagine crypto gathering without AI aspect. And truly, our next presenter Ilya Tkachev gave a speech about Cryptics, AI based cryptoasset exchange.
Vladimir Dyakov, CEO of AB-chain, presented a product targeting on-line advertising market. Given the immense volume of the market and its growth it is not surprising that the project has already attracted over one million dollars of cryptoinvestment.
GenX, the new project of Kirill Petrenko and his team is based on their experience in genetic data collection and processing with the company Genotek, one of top-3 genetic analysis companies in the Russian market. Gen X is using blockchain technology for healthcare personalization.
“Perhaps it is too early to sum up the deals of Seoul meetup session as the startups are in the middle of negotiations with the investors they have found there. We are very much involved in this process and have to say that our “matchmaking” was successful – many deals are up to be signed,” said Ivan Aleksandrov, managing partner of Memorandum Capital.
